Entertainment Department | Remote | Various Time Slots
We're looking for passionate and talented DJs to fill various time slots throughout our operating hours. You'll be responsible for maintaining the energy of our virtual venue, catering to diverse audiences across different time zones while creating unforgettable musical experiences.
As a DJ at Elysium Lounge, you'll be expected to follow these guidelines to ensure a great experience for our guests and a smooth operation for the club:
As a part of the Elysium staff, you are already expected to follow the rules for the Club itself. Don't forget when you DJ for the club you're representing the club as you're a part of its staff. Please no drama, be up front to the managers about what you need, and you'll be successful.
Make sure you have joined the Elysium Staff group and the Live DJ role has been assigned to you. This is required for you to log into the DJ board to start your set. Please also make sure to logout of the board when your set is over.
A host will usually be assigned to your set to help send out notifications in the VIP group, chat, and Discord Channel. However, if we're not able to assign a host to your set, you would be expected to do this on your own. Please reach out to Felix or Lukos if you need help with doing this.
Once you pass your interview and you are assigned a time slot, please commit to this like you would any other job. If you can't make a set that's absolutely fine as life happens. However, please reach out to Trevalyn, Felix, Lukos, or Rain on Second Life, Discord, or Telegram to let him know you will not be doing your scheduled set. Missing your time slot without notifying anyone on management multiple weeks could result in your termination from the club staff. We don't want to do that!
The tip jar for DJs is located at the front of the DJ booth in the club. Just simply click it while you're wearing your Live DJ title to log in. However, if you would like to use your own tip jar that's completely fine as using the one already in the club is not a requirement.
Please only use your Live DJ group tag when you're actively doing a set. When you're finished with your set, please set your group tag to something else. This is respectful to other DJs and other clubs as we don't want you advertising in that fashion.
Want to DJ during a blank time slot? Hell yeah, knock yourself out! We encourage you to DJ anytime of the day a DJ isn't already scheduled. Though please limit yourself to doing this once per day for no more than 5 hours.
We're not about censorship here at Elysium. You can play whatever the hell you want! Though we do ask to not play overtly politically driven, racist, or hate speech. We want you to express your talents, but please do it appropriately.
Operations Department | Remote
We're seeking responsible and attentive Security team members to ensure our virtual environment remains safe, respectful, and enjoyable for all guests. You'll monitor chat interactions, enforce community guidelines, and help resolve any issues that arise during events.
As a Security team member, you will be expected to enforce the following rules that maintain our welcoming and respectful environment:
I: Respect. It's a two-way street. Be respectful of people and property.
II: Your Home is your sanctuary. We do not tolerate cam-spying.
III: No begging. If you're in need of Linden, ask for a job, not a handout.
IV: No kids! No child avatars, no persons under 18. This is all-encompassing.
V: Political Neutrality. Keep politics out of Elysium unless it's in private discussion.
VI: No means no. Need we say more? If somebody's not into you, leave it at that.
VII: Ferals be tame. We love y'all, just be tame, and we're good.
VIII: Keep it classy. Yes, you can yiff in public, but please, keep the E-R-P to private chat.
IX: No Drama. You're not gonna get along with everybody, and that's normal, but you need to be civil in public.
X: Keep it down. Don't spam emotes or recklessly converse over voice during a DJ set, it's disrespectful to the DJ and to the audience. If you and your friends want to talk, do so privately.
Guest Experience Department | Remote
Join our team as a virtual Host/Hostess to welcome guests, facilitate introductions, and create a warm, inclusive atmosphere at our events. You'll be the friendly face of Elysium Lounge, ensuring that every visitor feels acknowledged and valued from the moment they arrive.
Here at Elysium, we strive to set the Olympian Standard. This all begins with you. You are the face of Elysium when you are hosting, the first to greet a guest in our Lounge. The following rules are things all hosts should keep in mind.
SL allows you to view nearby people and sort them by "last seen". You are expected to keep this window visible during your shift so that you can greet a guest the moment they walk in.
You may greet individually, or as groups if a handful of guests appear at the same time. The goal however is the same, to greet every person within one minute of their arrival.
Please remember to promote all established businesses on our region. These businesses as of the writing of this notecard include: Beast Works HQ, Fen's Fotos, and SilverFang Studios. Do not favor one over the others, as tempting as it may be. We are also promoting Olyraea Estates, the rental region below the club. Apartments cost 150L$ a week, and houses range from 500 to 1300 a week.
Hosts are the lifeblood of a crowd, just as the music is the soul. Your mood as a host, and your conduct towards the crowd defines the nature of the set. Inactive hosts do not promote crowd activity or participation.
